An infographic about Global Warming

together, we can save our planet

Current issues

The earth is currently having an excessive amount of rising temperature which causes the sea levels to rise. This phenomenon is caused by human activities that produced an enourmous number of carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and other substances

These substances mostly come from industrial and vehicular activities, but the greenhouse effect makes it much worse from year to year

Let's be aware!

Global Warming has a huge impact in our lives

Causes

Deforestation

Forests are carbon sinks because they take in CO2 from the air. But cutting down trees, mostly for farming and logging, reduces the Earth's ability to absorb CO2 and causes greenhouse gas levels to rise.

Industrial Activities

Industrial processes, like making cement, steel, and chemicals, release a lot of CO2 and other gases that trap heat in the atmosphere. Methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O) are two other powerful greenhouse gases that can be released by industries.

Transportation Usage

Transportation is a key part of getting people and things where they need to go. But most transportation uses fossil fuels, which when burned give off carbon dioxide and other gases that trap heat in the atmosphere. These emissions are a big part of the problem of global warming. Promoting greener options like electric cars and public transit, making fuel use more efficient, and investing in cleaner fuels can help reduce the damage transportation does to the environment and slow down climate change.

Greenhouse Effect

The greenhouse effect is when some gases in the Earth's atmosphere keep heat from the sun from escaping. These gases, like carbon dioxide and methane, take in infrared radiation and send it back out again. This keeps the radiation from going into space. This keeps the Earth warm enough to live on. But people's actions have caused greenhouse gas levels to rise, which has made the greenhouse effect stronger and led to global warming.

Ways To Prevent

Tip #1
Reforestation: a method to keep our planet green
Reforestation is an essential part of the ecological restoration of wild forests and is also used for more heavily managed lands, such as those used for paper production or timber.
Tip #2
Reuse, Reduce, Recycle
Learn how to identify recycleable materials!
Tip #3
Save Energy!
Did you know?

Home electronics consume energy even when switched off!
